Spicy Beef Udon, a la Benjy’s


Ingredients

  • For the beef:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain (the chef used outside skirt)
  • 1 Tbsp oil, for frying
